A supercar with only 1/3 weight compared with other supercars on the market. 3D printing technologies are gaining a remarkable development steps.
After printing clothes, houses, bridges, ... so now it was in the car
with this technology.
Supercar named "Blade" can be seen as a major achievement of 3D printing
technology. This car is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km / h in
about 2.2 seconds approximate time - extremely fast compared to the
current car. But the magic of this car came from the technology to
create it: 3D printing technology.
The car was created by a startup called Divergent Microfactories in San
Francisco. By using 3D printing technology, they create a chassis that
weighs up to 90% lighter than the weight of traditional chassis. With
that, most of the body is made up of carbon fiber instead of steel and
aluminum. The result is this car weighs only 0.7 tons, by about 1/3
compared to other supercars on the market.
The car carries a 700HP engine can run on compressed natural gas. Therefore it is also seen as a supercar-friendly environment.
